Mats and Patrik first met when they studied together at Umeå University in 2008. They noticed that they had similar taste in music and started a project that was later named Guile.
Guile creates music which leans towards the more monotone, a mix of the genres Drone and Post Rock but with clear melodies and an inclination for a bit thicker harmonies. All in a deep atmospheric landscape.
They wrote and recorded four songs between 2008 – 2011 in Redneck Studios (Patrik's studio). These songs were then mastered at Wolf's Lair by Marcus E. Norman (Bewitched, Hayaoth, Ancient Wisdom, Naglfar, Eudaimony).
